The aim of “Casa+” project is to help people with Down syndrome to get their own autonomy by increasing the awareness of their means and always keeping the safety.
The focus of the project spans the different domains of real-time applications for heterogeneous, networked, embedded many-core systems. CRAFTERS proposes a computing environment for many-core systems that will enable the evolution to horizontal domains by providing common methods, tools and reference platforms for embedded many-core applications.
GRETA is an Italian scientific research project, funded by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (PRIN 2010/11), which aims at studying a distributed system for tag identification, localization, tracking and monitoring in indoor scenarios.

The main objective of the INCIPICT Project is the construction of an experimental optical network to build a MAN – Metropolitan Area Network – that consists in an Optical Ring to connect the main and the most important sites of L’Aquila City. INCIPICT represents the context for testing advanced and pervasive wireless technologies, necessary to prepare the support layer for innovative applications and provides research on techniques solutions for reduction of energy consumption and increase of transmission speed (and bandwidth). INCIPICT also aim at developing a specific middleware that allows abstracting the components of the heterogeneous network and offering uniform access methods as independent as possible from the specific underlying technology.
Precision agriculture project (Consorzio di Ricerca per l’Innovazione Tecnologica, la Qualità e la Sicurezza degli Alimenti, Nationally funded by MIUR) allows a detailed monitoring of environmental parameters which are critical for a particular cultivation enabling the optimization of production and the improvement of quality. At the same time through this monitoring it is possible to detect precisely pathologies or criticalities. As a result, an effective irrigation and a proper and selective dispensing of chemical treatments is possible, so lowering the presence of chemicals in foods while reducing costs
