Elena De Santis, PhD
Elena De Santis received the degree in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) from the University of L'Aquila, L'Aquila, Italy, in 1983. From 1987 to 1998, she was an Assistant Professor with the University of L'Aquila, where she is currently an Associate Professor. She has published papers in archival journals, conferences proceedings, and book series in analysis control and optimization of constrained and uncertain dynamic systems, dynamic-model management for decision support systems, positive systems, dynamic games, and hybrid and switching systems. Ms. De Santis received the Outstanding Reviewer Honorable Mention from the editorial board of IEEE Trans. on Automatic Control for 2004. She is a member of the Executive Committe of the Center of Excellence DEWS (Architectures and design methodologies for embedded controllers, wireless interconnected and system-on-chip). She is member of the ICO board (International Curriculum Option of Doctoral Studies in Hybrid Control for Complex, Distributed and Heterogeneous Embedded Systems), developed within the realm of HYCON Option (ICO) board. Member of IEEE since 1999, she has been elected at the grade of Senior Member, in 2006. She is member of IFAC Technical Committee TC 1.3 on Discrete Event and Hybrid Systems. She has been the chair and/or organizer of a number of sessions and member of the program committee in the main international conferences.
